How set up party mode to Ensure a photo opportunity is never missed on Google+ events

Have you ever been to an event and either forgotten to take any photos or forgotten to share the pictures until long after the event’s finished? Well, help is at hand through the Google+ app.

As you will probably already be aware, you can set up social events through Google+; either a physical get-together or a virtual ‘Hangout’. When setting up an event, you can activate ‘Party Mode’.

This means that for anyone who is attending the event, whenever they take pictures on the mobile device that they are logged into Google+ on, the photos will automatically be uploaded to the event stream.

This also applies to any pictures you take yourself.

The clever thing about Party Mode is that it only lasts for the duration of the event. So when the event ends, any pictures you take thereafter won’t be automatically uploaded to the event
stream. Not only does this mean that photographic documentation of the event will be more or less
guaranteed, but also that there is no manual upload process – it all takes place in the background,
without anyone having to lift a finger beyond the one poised above their shutter button.
