Is Search engine optimisation SEO a Legitimate Form of Marketing?

Search engine optimisation often comes under a great deal of scrutiny from business experts.

IS SEO MARKETING?

This is one of those questions that has to be answered, “yes and no”. Search engine optimisation is marketing, but not in the conventional definition of the term.

SHOULD I USE SEO AS MARKETING?

This will all depend on the circumstances you find your business in. If you feel that you’ve launched a great product or service online but it isn’t getting the exposure you need, SEO may be your solution.

Search engine optimisation is an especially useful marketing tool for start-up companies as it gives you the opportunity to go from a situation where they are completely unknown, to pitching their product to a potential market of millions online.

SEO as a form of marketing isn’t especially important if your business is already well known and reasonably established.

Chances are that you will already rank favourably on search engine results due to your notoriety and you may also attract many visitors to your site who were searching for your firm especially.
