How to delete an already existing contact which have been deleted but still showing on whatsapp.

There are times you delete many unnecessary contact on your android phone but just to find out that whatsapp still contain those numbers,. You see their contacts too. And most often you try to clear whatsup data and login in again and discover that the contacts are been restored again.

How do I reset/delete my contact list on whatsapp

Whenever you discover such issue, here are what to do

1. Try to call those numbers whose the contact have been deleted and see if the call log still show their name
2. If it doesn’t show note that the contact have been store for more than once in your phone
3. To see all contact in your phone go to people some android phone say contact
4. Click on menu and click on contact to display, 
5. Finally Click on show all contact 

Once you are done, check if the deleted contact show up again, if it continue then the problem could be from your contact sync

Solution

1. Go to settings >>Google (for those who use Google for their syncing their contacts)
2. Select your Google id 
3. untick the contact sync box
4. Delete the contacts once again
5. Finally Go to settings>>account>>whatsapp and click the contact sync box. . you are done.
